It’s funny how cyclical musical styles are. Influences have a part of the evolution of music, since there has been music.
The Beatles originally tried to copy the Elvis and Memphis rockabilly sound, before allowing their music to evolve into new experimental trends. Many of the punk bands of the 80s had a 50s beat with a lot more volume. And many of the 90s grunge bands modeled their sounds after Neil Young’s harder edged music and Led Zeppelin’s style, after they evolved out of their early blues roots.
